I am now officially street legal, when just about 4 days ago I said driving was overrated on Facebook (and I'll have you know, 3 of my friends "liked" it). And honestly, I still have that feeling. In my mind, having a permit is one of those things that you get just so you can say you have it. I mean, that isn't the only reason I got it. I do like driving and have been driving for a while and I have a pretty sweet ride. Also I had to get in before all the rule changes take place 1/1/10 so I could get in the grandfather clause (cause no one wants to be under the new rules).
But driving turns from this :

to this :

Then there are the people who don't have a clue what they are doing and shouldn't be driving at all. Then there are the "I have to drive with my feet because I'm talking on the phone, smoking a cigarette and eating a honey bun at the same time." people.
But enough about the drivers, lets talk about the test. When I was studying for it (reading the book) it amused me that no one does these rules. I was talking to my mom and sister before the test and we were talking about how if this test just had common sense questions and questions about what people really do, then this test would be a piece of cake! For example, if two people come to a stop sign at the same exact time, who has the right of way? Well the book says the person on the left has the right of way, but the REAL answer should be "Whoever gets waved on to go first."
But don't get me wrong, that "Waved on" answer can get complicated. For example, I've been in a situation where I've seen both people wave each other on, then neither go and traffic comes so they both have to wait another 5 minutes before they can go.
Well I think I have written enough for now. Good-bye
